AeroTube is designed to be distraction‑free and privacy‑first. The extension removes visual clutter on YouTube watch pages and lets you save videos locally for later. We do not collect personal data or track your browsing.

Extension Data

• Local storage only: Saved videos and viewing progress are stored in your browser’s storage on your device.
• No analytics or tracking: The extension does not send telemetry, analytics, or behavioral data.
• Network requests: The extension may fetch basic metadata (e.g., oEmbed) directly from YouTube to improve saved item titles. No data is sent to any third‑party servers owned by us.
• Permissions: We request only the permissions needed to function: tabs, storage, contextMenus, and host access for YouTube domains.

Website

• No tracking: This site does not include analytics or tracking scripts.
• Hosting logs: Cloudflare (or your chosen static host) may collect minimal logs for security and operations. We do not receive or process this data except in aggregate to maintain the site.
• Cookies: None set by us.

Future Sync (Optional)

If we introduce cross‑device sync, it will be end‑to‑end encrypted so that servers only see encrypted data (no plaintext). Participation will be optional.
